much like every over-hyped phenomenon... I make up my mind, right away, and then I just stick with it. I rarely flip-flop.
Example: In the Casey Anthony case... as a mother I could tell she was responsible for her child's murder because she was more involved with her innocence than the grief of her child's death. I would have been broken about my child being dead... and in such an awful way! I, likely, would have attempted suicide... as depression had driven me to that point, in the past.
For the JonBenet Ramsey case, however; initially I thought the family was involved... but as the case progressed-there was wwwaaayyyy to much grief being shown. You aren't bereaved by someone attacking your character! You are bereaved by death and remorse. Of course they were remorseful! They had a security system! There was a window in the wine cellar that was not hooked up to it. That was also where her body was found. Footprints outside the window confirmed it was the access point. Semen on the body confirmed both father and son were not the killer. They didn't do it!!!
For the Napster case... I was always with Napster.
I came up with the idea for Mapquest when I was nine years old and I wanted to submit it to the science fair as a conceptual idea. My Enhanced Learning Program teacher, Jane Eaton (Diamond Path Elementary School, Apple Valley, MN), basically forbade from doing it because she thought I wouldn't win without a prototype.
This was in 1994, the year AOL maps... the first of it's kind... was in development. I came up with it because I had trouble reading maps and it's hard to carry a big, heavy map book on your bike when you're a kid. I understood how the internet worked... so I knew people from all over the world could input their mapbooks, in their free time, and then we could print out directions, and a map, with a highlighted course. Exactly what we have, today.
I'm going to get in touch with some Napster folks and some of their supporters. They will understand my vision... because they already use it!
