Indulge me in a little mental exercise, if you will...
I want you to seriously think about the things you've been told in your life that have been changed over time. Can you do that? I hope so...
For example... how to eat! What people eat has been changed over time. But people were eating the same things generation after generation after generation without problems!
I want you notice something about food these days, and people's opinions of it. No two people say the same thing about diet in any given room. What's more? Every single person you speak to is certain that their opinion trumps yours.
My mother was obese for most of my life. She probably still is but I haven't seen her in three years. My brother claims she's getting better. She used to read so many books on fangled diets.
When she would read them she would go on about how the author stumbled upon some miracle. They never worked (not that she tried very hard). What I'd noticed... even as a kid... the most fit people ate vegetables a lot.
That's not to say that they didn't eat meat! I've only met a handful of real vegetarians in my life. I remember telling my ex, once, after having a moronic conversation with a republican male (who brought the subject up, himself, to make fun of what I was eating) that actually said as a grown man, "I don't eat anything green..." This man was obese--and an arrogant jerk about a subject he mentioned!
"Have you ever noticed that people who eat vegetables, at all, don't become obese?" yeah... even before I could fully read all the messages... I could still smell a load of bullshit from a mile away.
Most overweight people have excuses for why they are that way. They usually blame exercise. They usually don't blame what they're eating. They all know the secret to getting thin, too. All ways are different.
I always said when I was fat that it was a personal choice because I didn't want to be prettier than my sister. She always says I am. She always compares herself to me and always cries. I told myself if I really wanted to get thin... I'd eat like my grandparents.
They cooked everything themselves. Everything they made was identifiable. They never bought fat free or sugar free anything.
This is quite the opposite of the standard, now. Scientists have tinkered with food so much that it doesn't even resemble food, anymore. They make use of wood to put into food--as well as cotton. Our bodies weren't meant to digest these things.
I'm not a food scientist... and I just hate learning the long names of the weird chemicals. This is the new age and we use new speak, dammit!!! wut da fuk!!! But I'll tell you one thing... if they use wood and cotton, they use other things we shouldn't have in our systems, as well.
Most of the food in the store can be consumed, but shouldn't be. They call it food... but it's garbage and it screws with your insides.
I can't tell you how many people have argued with me on this subject!
Well... when I finally decided to drop a bunch of weight (because my sister and I weren't on speaking terms) I thought about what the healthiest way to lose weight would be... and I knew it because I watched a documentary on it!
A food scientist claimed he knew the cure for cancer and it was vitamin c. He said superdoses in excess of 20000mg several times a day would heal those people. I can read people... I remember his facial expression and his demeanor.
He was discredited even though he had saved patients. He was very desperate when he said, "Just eat half of your daily food intake in the form of raw vegetables!" He looked like he was ready to cry!
Why? Because when you eat the garbage food, you starve yourself while you get fat. The United States doesn't have enough food to feed us all--so they're starving us out; but tricking us! Because that food makes you feel like you've eaten--it doesn't seem like you're starving.
Here's what happens to your body and when you don't eat enough vegetables:
Your body has to decide where to put the few vitamins that you've eaten. It sends the nutrition to the most vital places, first. Everything else starts to suffer. Everything in the body system starts shutting down...
Had I known then, what I know NOW--I never would have been fat. These systems don't fully shut down--they work at 50% or more or less--probably depending on if you eat vitamins, or not (not a substitute for vegetables)--and also on which systems are most important.
Well... I decided to eat a primarily plant based diet. Why? Blending in! The person at the table that says, "I won't eat that," is considered rude, stupid, whatever, and receives guilt trips and ridicule. I don't care what people say about me--but I do care for their feelings... and it appears offensive to people if you shun their food like it's not good enough for you.
So... I ate a wee bit of meat with my salads and stuff. More like I sprinkled a few chunks on top. I did include dairy--because my daddy was a dairy farmer and I don't want to be excommunicated from the fam (completely).
I switched out my soda for emergen-C. Because I knew I had a soda addiction (knew it) to the sweetness and the fizz. I also upped my water intake by at least four glasses a day.
I did still eat garbage food--just barely any. So we'd make mac'n'cheese and we'd have miniscule amounts with loads of veggies. Even in so doing, however, I notice if I eat too much garbage food I pay for it in my intestines. To put it mildly. To put it bluntly... a have a terrible shit to deal with!
When I was fat I had pimples every here and there. I looked sick without makeup (as in, people would ask me if I was ill). It was suggested that I had mild IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). I did get cancer. I caught every cold and flu that went around... and, of course, I was mentally ill.
Obesity is caused by mental illness... but keeping up the eating makes you worse, by default. It's a never ending cycle of personal misery!
The obese talk about food a lot. They are food-crazed. Very obviously. They claim that just seeing a picture of food can make them feel hungry. Some eat some vegetables. Others avoid any healthy food, completely. Their bodies don't recognize it as food because their brains have started to shut down. They need exciting flavors to trigger their taste buds.
But because they are starving to death their brains go nuts trying to get more nutrients. So they eat more and more and more... eating that food makes them worse and worse and worse.
Most of America is starving to death while they walk around like zombies. I'll tell you the bullshit regarding the whole zombie thing later today... that shit is REALLY going to fucking disturb you!
